LHS students mentor 1st Grade project about Giving Back

This morning the First Grade students and students from the high school, National Honor society, Student Council and HS Cheerleaders, collaborated to brainstorm ways to make a difference in the world and give back.  The first grade students observed International Dot Day in which they learned many ways to make a difference.  The High School students, led by Mrs. Stetz, researched this project prior to visiting with the first grade students.  Each student met with a small group of first graders and facilitated a conversation and made a chart of the varied ways they can make a difference in the lives of less fortunate children.  There were some great conversations and a learning experience for both primary students and high school students.
