LHS Students travel to Austin for 12th Annual Student Legislative Session

Lytle High School students were invited to the State Capitol on Monday, November 9th by State Representative Ryan Guillan to participate in the 12th Annual Student Legislature Session.  LHS' student leaders were assigned a topic and had the opportunity to present and debate the bill in both chambers of the state government- the House and the Senate.  Macy Smith was elected by the students attending to serve as governor for the event and after the day's work was complete, "signed" 4 bills into law including Lytle's No Texting While Driving law that passed both chambers after being presented for consideration.
