Robo Pirates - Black ended match play ranked 2nd and was the Captain of the Finalist Alliance. We chose the Lytle Junior High team, the Techno Pirates, to be our alliance partner but ultimately lost the finals 1-2.

Although they lost in the finals, Robo Pirates - Black was honored to be awarded the Inspire Award which is the highest award given out at any FTC event. Based on this distinction, Robo Pirates - Black will advance to the Alamo Region Championship on Feb 24-25.

Robo Pirates - Gold ranked 6th at the end of match play and did not compete in the finals although they were awarded the Rockwell Collins Innovate Award for their design. However, they were also the runner up for the Inspire Award. As runner up for the Inspire Award, Robo Pirates -Gold has been invited to compete in a wildcard event on Feb 18 which will be their last chance to qualify for Regionals.
