On October 12th, Migrant Liaisons Ana Jimenez and Blanca Cantu accompanied five of our migrant students to A&M College Station on a educational/campus tour. The Lytle MEP group was also accompanied by SouthSan ISD, Somerset ISD, and Uvalde ISD, with whom we have a co-op Migrant Ed. Program.
We toured the campus and the students were able to ask questions about college life, degrees, and sports programs. Our students were also able to eat lunch amongst the college students at the school’s dining hall and enjoy the college environment.
Our students were able to tour several galleries and exhibits on the campus, but they seemed to really enjoy the Sanders Corps of Cadet Center which displayed many alumni treasures.
